Description:
This course includes description of the aerodynamic forces and aeronautical
principles that make flight possible. Connections will be made to the various
areas of specialty within mechanical engineering, including fluid mechanics,
structures, materials, control, and thermal sciences. Future trends in air
transportation will be discussed.
Professor Glenn Beltz, Mechanical Engineering, teaches ME 110, an introductory aeronautics course, ME 15, a strength of materials course, and several graduate courses on materials and structures.
