Description:
An introduction to brain science, including neuroanatomy,
neurophysiology, and neuropsychology. The impairments
produced by three different types of brain damage will be
the starting-point for considering the organization and
function of your brain.
Professor Benjamin Reese, Psychology, does laboratory studies on the development of nerve cells in the retina. He is trying to understand the development mechanisms that produce the architecture and connectivity underlying in our visual abilities. Professor Reese also teaches Development and Plasticity of the Nervous System, Development of the Retina and Visual Pathways, and Laboratory in Neuroanatomy.
