Description:
Why do we dream? Why do jokes make us laugh? What happens when we make
slips of the tongue? These are some of the questions we will address in our
exploration of the role of the unconscious in our lives.
Professor Susan Derwin, German, Germanic, Slavic & Semitic Studies, her fields of research and teaching include Holocaust Studies, Nineteenth-and twentieth-century literature, with an emphasis on the novel and memoir, and psychoanalysis.
