Description:
This seminar will consist of five, two-hour sessions, in which I will introduce you to the field of experimental economics and show you how experiments can be used to understand markets and basic aspects of human behavior. In each session we will run at least one experiment and discuss relevant issues. Topics will include some or all of the following: auctions, externalities and public goods, bargaining, coordination games, matching and social preferences. The course will be graded on a pass/no pass basis. Passing the course depends on your participation in the experiments.
